EMAIL HELP

To ensure that you receive notices about the Dealer Attitude Survey:

  • Add the Dealer Attitude Survey email addresses, ATD@ATDsurvey.org to your address book and safe sender list.
  • To make sure your email address is listed correctly in the Dealer Attitude Survey database. You can use the Update Contact Info link on the homepage at www.atdsurvey.com, or Send email address changes to ATD@ATDsurvey.org along with:
    • Name of your dealership
    • Exact street address
    • City
    • State
    • ZIP Code
    • Telephone number
  • Check your SPAM and/or junk email folder.
  • "White list" ATD's bulk email sender at your desktop and on your server. Contact your IT department for assistance if needed.

If you did not see the link in your email inbox then you can take a few steps:

  • Check your junk/SPAM folder to see if it is there.
  • Use the Need Survey Link link in the Help section of the homepage.
  • Email ATD@ATDsurvey.org with your name and dealership name(s) and full address(es).

CONFIDENTIALITY

Yes, all surveys are confidential. The manufacturers do not know which individual dealers completed the survey. The survey results are reported in aggregate and responses are NEVER shared at the individual level.

Your manufacturer realizes the value of the Dealer Attitude Survey data. They want their dealers to participate in the survey effort. When the majority of dealers complete the survey, their collective voice has a greater impact upon the manufacturers and suppliers. Your manufacturer and their field staff representatives believe that it is in their best interest to have as many of their dealers as possible complete the survey to be more responsive to their dealers needs.

SURVEY

The Survey Aid is a downloadable version of the online survey. It enables you to complete your franchise evaluations on paper, and then have an Administrative Assistant or other staff member enter them online for you. Remember to keep your User ID confidential. The Survey Aid is a tool and not a substitute for an online survey. Only surveys completed online are counted in the results. ATD cannot accept fax or email paper surveys.

The Survey Aid is a downloadable version of the online survey. It enables you to complete your franchise evaluations on paper, and then have an Administrative Assistant or other staff member enter them online for you. ATD encourages the Dealer Principal or General Manager to involve his/her department mangers—sales, service, parts, etc.—in the completion of the survey. To facilitate this input, we have created this survey aid as tool to help obtain the opinion of your staff before completing the survey online.The Survey Aid is a tool and not a substitute for an online survey. Only surveys completed online are counted in the results. ATD cannot accept fax or email paper surveys.

The length of time it takes to complete the survey depends upon how many manufacturers/suppliers you evaluate. For a majority of dealers with a single franchise, it takes approximately 25 minutes to complete the survey.

You can log in to the survey multiple times with the same survey link to complete evaluations for all of the franchises sold by your dealership. As with most computer programs, if you start the survey and close out of the survey at any point prior to completion, you will need to re-start the survey, so please keep that in mind. To make it easier, we have added a Survey Aid, which is a downloadable version of the online survey. You can fill out your franchise evaluations on paper, and then have an Administrative Assistant or other staff enter them online for you. Using the survey link provided in your email or postcard invite: If called away while completing the survey, you can pick up where you left off as long as you do not close the survey window. If you close the survey window, you will have to re-start the survey from the beginning.

Once you complete the introduction section of the survey, a special link will be shown on your screen. If you make a note/copy of that new link, you will be able to use that link to re-enter the survey right where you left off at any time. If you need to step away for a while or if your browser unexpectedly closes, you will not need to start over.

The Dealer Attitude Surveys are designed to work best if you are using the most up-to-date version of Internet Explorer. If possible, access the survey from a computer with this browser. If you still are experiencing issues please send an email to ATD@ATDsurvey.org and provide the issue you are having along with the web browser you are using to access the survey.

Once you complete the Dealer Attitude Survey, you will see a webpage stating that your survey has been successfully submitted.

The Dealer Attitude Survey is displayed on your computer screen in a user-friendly format. The special format uses different styles of print/font, color, and shading as well as circles and boxes to make it easy for you to enter your answers. Once you enter your answers and submit your survey, the results are stored in a secured server in a computer-only readable format that strips away the special format and stores your answers as a series of numbers and letters. Your data are stored on the server with thousands of other Dealer Attitude Survey responses. Due to the manner in which the surveys are stored, we cannot provide you with a copy of the completed survey that is easily readable by humans.
